Perhaps you feel stuck or a bit lost? Maybe uncertain about what you believe or why?

Any or all of the above? This program is just in time for you! *

Register by September 9 to “pick your price.  I’m not even joking. One dollar will get you in. If you have any hesitation, I challenge you to jump in and see how much goodness you can buy for a buck! **

BUT on the off-chance you’re not easily convinced … or confused about the difference between “quiet time” and meditation … or concerned about meditation, in general …? No worries, friend; I’ve got you. Please read on (below, and part 2) to sort that through.

Most Christians learn early the importance of prioritizing time for God. We read and study Scripture and talk to God daily, i.e. quiet time. Biblical meditation does not replace prayer or Bible study. It’s a different kind of quiet time; another dimension in a deepening relationship.

Biblical meditation fills your mind with God’s Word. Each meditation focuses on a Scripture verse, or maybe two. We get quiet and still. We listen. We receive the Word spoken over us. In this, our minds are renewed. Thoughts are transformed. Lies and false beliefs internalized from the secular world are replaced with the irrefutable, eternal truths of God’s Word.

(You) were taught in him, as the truth is in Jesus, to put off your old self, which belongs to your former manner of life and is corrupt through deceitful desires, and to be renewed in the spirit of your minds, and to put on the new self, created after the likeness of God in true righteousness and holiness. Ephesians 4:22-24

We put off, and put on, to be renewed.

Benefits of meditation and mindfulness are well-proven. Scientific studies report many positive outcomes. Things like reduced stress and anxiety, improved emotional health, improved sleep, and reduced inflammation. There is some evidence for reduced age-related memory loss or an enhanced ability to fight addictions. Here’s a quick-start to learn more.

Biblical meditation was designed by God, for our good and His glory. We bless the Lord by seeking Him. Our sprits are restored by spending time with Him, just because. There is nothing to do but receive His goodness. The only goal is to know Him more intimately.

No check lists. No agendas. No requests. Just be, with Him.

In this, there is so much freedom — the best rest.

If that sounds upside-down or too good to be true, well, that’s understandable — because that’s the Gospel. The first shall be last. The weak shall be made strong. The meek shall inherit the earth. And the Lamb of God is the Lion of Judah. He will rein forever. His Word will never pass away to and through all eternity.

Is it any wonder that meditating on the Word was God’s good idea?

Be still and know that I am God. Psalm 46:10

Join me on the journey to becoming fit for life. That’s wellness, at the pace of grace. :=)

Sincerely,
Sondra
