My name is Sondra Smith. I’m an Independent Certified Revelation Wellness Instructor on mission to “Love God, Get Healthy, Be Whole, and Love Others in the skin you are in.” And oh, my mercy, friend. There is just so much goodness in fitness grounded in faith!
This is not about counting calories or pumping iron or jumping through hoops to fit an ideal body image. It’s about allowing God to work, from the inside out, for your good and His glory. (Revved for Wellness, Feb. 04, 2021)
I was feeling quite desperate when I signed on for instructor training late in 2020. It seemed like I’d tried everything over the past three decades. If I made any progress, it was always short-lived. I hoped I’d push myself in all the right ways to lose weight. I wanted to be physically transformed. I thought it’d be amazing. Everyone would ask me how I did it! And I’d be so proud of myself.
Yeah. That didn’t happen the way I imagined. Even though I’ve seldom worked harder than over those months. Thankfully, God has immeasurably more in store than I can conceive (Ephesians 3:20)!
Revelation Wellness doesn’t make any wild promises. There are no gimmicks. We seek God first and foremost, learning to hear and heed His voice. Only when whole in body, mind, and spirit, are we fit for life in the body of Christ. No more shame. No shoulda’-coulda’-woulda’s stealing our peace. Joy abounds in wellness aligned with God’s truth!
I’m a college graduate with an advanced degree who enjoyed a successful career in higher education. Yet I’ve never been more grateful to God or pleased with my own effort than coming out of Revelation Wellness instructor training. All for very different reasons than I’d imagined going in.
As it turned out, I didn’t lose any weight. I’m being perfectly honest when I say that’s okay. Participating in Platoon 26 (aka the engineers) was transformative in all the right ways. I recommend this training program to you with utmost confidence. It will change your game.
I’ve learned moving the good body God gave me is my get-to today. And whatever I can do is enough. This is wellness at the pace of grace.
Just to be clear, I don’t have it all figured out. I haven’t arrived; I’m a sojourner, traveling through, perhaps not unlike you. Hearing the call to arise, however, I’m moving forward in obedience. I’m grateful for this journey, wherever it leads.
My daily challenge is to lay aside the things that so easily entangle (Hebrews 12:1-2). In decades of knowing Jesus, I’ve never been more determined to persevere and press on for the prize (Philippians 3:13-14). He grows dearer and sweeter, still.
The kicker is that I never intended to utilize my certification in my community. I thought it was something I needed to do for myself. I didn’t anticipate a call to launch a ministry. I don’t know what that looks like, exactly; only that I’ll remain open and willing as opportunities arise.
It is for freedom we are set free (Galatians 5:1). Woo-hoo! Who doesn’t want some of that?
The harsh reality, however, is that freedom is not free. Jesus paid with his life to secure it. We are called out of darkness into His marvelous light (1 Peter 2:9). Experiencing this freedom is just too good not to share. That’s where Pace of Grace Wellness comes in.
Did you know that our primary purpose on earth is to bring God glory (Isaiah 43:7)? Among all of His creation, only humans were made in His image (Genesis 1:27). We glorify Him by living healthy, whole, and free.
And you, my friend, are in exactly the right place to take your next step.
Revelation Wellness is fitness at it’s finest: body, mind, heart, and spirit.
There’s an abundance of goodness and goodwill here. Welcome to wellness at the pace of grace.
Your next step will be to >> REV with ME!
Sincerely,
Sondra
